Nida Dar Ends Break, Ready to Play for Pakistan Again
The veteran all-rounder, who took an indefinite break in April 2025, has made herself available for selection.

Nida Dar, one of Pakistan women's cricket's greatest players, has announced her international comeback after an indefinite break. The 39-year-old all-rounder had stepped away from cricket in April 2025 amid pressure and reports that team management no longer considered her in their plans. Her last appearance for Pakistan was in October 2024.
Dar is the most capped Pakistani woman in T20Is and the first to take 100 wickets in both ODIs and T20Is. She has scored over 3,700 runs across formats and taken 252 wickets. However, her recent form had dipped, with an average below 17 and a strike rate below 100 in her last 24 T20I innings.
Her return comes as the Pakistan women's team struggles in the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. Dar's experience and all-round abilities could provide a much-needed boost to the side.
