Glenn Phillips scored his first Test hundred against England at The Oval, smashing 100 off 135 balls with 18 fours. His counterattacking knock helped New Zealand reach 391 in the first innings.

With this century, Phillips joined an exclusive list of New Zealand batters who have scored a ton in all three international formats. He is only the third player from his country to achieve this feat, following Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum.

Phillips arrived at the crease with New Zealand struggling at 188 for 5. He shared crucial partnerships with Tom Blundell and Kyle Jamieson before being the last wicket to fall on day two.

The 29-year-old had already scored centuries in ODIs and T20Is, and now completes the set with a memorable Test ton in England.
