India Lead List of Teams with Most 400-Plus ODI Scores
England and Australia are among the frequent visitors to the 400-run club in ODI cricket.
The 400-run mark in ODIs was once a rare achievement, but modern batting has made it more common. India and South Africa are among the most frequent entrants to the 400-plus club, though exact totals for these sides are not detailed here.
Australia have recorded three 400-plus totals. The first was 434-4 against South Africa in 2006, led by Ricky Ponting, though South Africa chased it down. The second came in the 2015 World Cup against Afghanistan, with David Warner scoring 178. The third was 431-2 against South Africa in Mackay in 2025, powered by centuries from Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, and Cameron Green.
England have seven 400-plus totals, all since the 2015 World Cup. Five came at home, one in the West Indies, and one in the Netherlands. Three of their totals are the highest in men's ODI history: 498-4 against the Netherlands in 2022, 481-6 against Australia in 2018, and 444-3 against Pakistan in 2016. They added two more in the last year against the West Indies and South Africa.
